This October, The Atlantic and the University of California, San Diego, will once again host The Atlantic Meets the Pacific—a three-day event for top thought leaders in technology, the sciences, and health. Striking at the heart of health technology and innovation, this year’s event will unite scientists, engineers, business leaders, culinary experts, physicians, writers, and policymakers to discuss topics ranging from wireless health technologies and leaps in longevity research to the history of cancer and new approaches to food policy.
Sanford-Burnham’s president and interim CEO, Kristiina Vuori, M.D., Ph.D., will be a member of a panel on the topic of “Scanning the Horizon: Accelerating Innovation in Cancer Care” on Thursday, October 3, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour Sanford-Burnham’s La Jolla campus at 2:30 p.m. PT on October 3.
